Village Creek State Park Resort

St. Francis County and Cross County, Arkansas– The project is currently under going a feasibility study.  The project as proposed consists of 124 key full-service lodge, conference/meeting center,  day spa, sporting clays course and 27 hole golf course designed by Andy Dye. KPG Architects: Architect of Record  for concepts, master planning, and feasibility.

Indigo Earth Houston

Houston, Texas – The seventy-seven acre site is planned to include 240,000 s.f. of tenant space, 250 key full service hotel/conference center, indoor/outdoor water park, Imax theater, and aquarium.   Kernodle Poellot Group, Inc.: Conceptual Design, Master Planning, and Project Management Services.

Naples, Florida – Master planned an entertainment destination around a Mediterranean theme.   Kernodle Poellot Group, Inc.: Concepts, and master planning.

Sake On Sixth

Austin, Texas – Themed restaurant/bar located in the Sixth Street Entertainment District. Concept was to create a lively music centered sushi bar.  The design included creating a new street entry, signage/graphic design, and complete interior environment.  The interior space includes an organic shaped bar and sushi bar, aquarium, elevated D.J. booth, and custom designed illuminated ceiling.   Kernodle Poellot Group, Inc.: Architect of Record.

The University Hotel

Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas – Renovation concepts and feasibility study.  Kernodle Poellot Group, Inc.: Architect responsible for feasibility studies.

Harrah’s Casino

Tunica, Mississippi –Renovation of existing property into three themed casino environments for the Mardi Gras Casino including three restaurant venues, entertainment space, childcare facilities, and 200-room hotel.  AIA Memphis - 1997 Award Of Merit.  Illuminating Engineering Society 1997 Guth Award of Merit.  Carl A. West Memphis, Arkansas – Conceptual design team member to the Client directed competition that won the Architect of Record the contract of this project.  The VHS animated presentation included a master plan including 600-room hotel, three casino themed experiences, entertainment theaters, and eighteen-hole golf course. Hilton Hotels

Shreveport, Louisiana – Concept studies for a joint venture between Harrah's Casino and Hilton Gaming  including two 300-room hotel towers, two gaming riverboats, a common boarding facility with four restaurants, child care, and two parking structures. Grand Casinos

Tunica, Mississippi – Designed and managed the 600-room Terrace Hotel, meeting rooms, coffee shop, bar, and Bellesimo Spa. Casino Player Magazine's 1999 Reader's Poll – Top Hotel in Tunica.  Illuminating Engineering Society 2000 Guth Award of Merit.  Carl A. Opryland Hotels

Opryland Hotel Orlando – Orlando, Florida – Conceptual design team member for the master planning and designing of theme concepts as part of the initial design competition that won the project for the firm.  The VHS animated concept presented included a 1,200-room hotel with four acres of atrium space, five restaurant venues, retail street, three swimming pools, convention and meeting spaces. Carl A. Kernodle, AIA, conceptual/competition design team member and firm principal for the Architect of Record, Hnedak Bobo Group, Inc.

Opryland Hotel Texas – Grapevine, Texas – Opryland Hotel Texas – Grapevine, Texas –Initial conceptual master planning, site adaptation and designed theme concepts for a 1,500-room hotel with four acres of atrium space, seven restaurant venues, retail street, three swimming pools, eighteen hole golf course, parking structure, and convention and meeting spaces. The provided presentation was a VHS animated video that was under the direct responsibility of Carl A. Kernodle, AIA, Principal-in-Charge through the conceptual design/regulatory phase for the Architect of Record, Hnedak Bobo Group, Inc. Project currently under construction.
